12U team finishes 5th out of 104 teams

We’re proud to announce the BC Athletics 12U team finished 5th out of 104 teams at the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament the week of June 9th.

The team finished the regular game standings at 6-0, allowing only two runs per game including four shutouts. For the regular game schedule, their scores were:

BC Athletics 20 Las Vegas Scorpions 0
BC Athletics 15 Wheeling Wildthings 0
BC Athletics 16 North Coast Red Devils 2
BC Athletics 7 East Side Cyclones 0
BC Athletics 18 Adidas 3 Stripe Prospects 8
BC Athletics 15 Colorado Blast 0

In the first round of the 104-team single elimination tournament, BC Athletics made it to the quarterfinals before dropping a game to Team Club. Their tournament scores were:

BC Athletics 12 Sliders Baseball 0
BC Athletics 10 Swam Baseball 2
Team Clutch 7 BC Athletics 3

For the entire week, BC Athletics scored 120 runs while only giving up 25.

BC Athletics 11U Wins State!

On the weekend of October 22-23, the 11U BC Athletics team competed in the USSSA Fall State Championship. Playing a year up in the 12U Open division, the BC Athletics team finished the weekend 4-0, winning the Fall State Championship.

The weekend started out with a 15-0 win over Thunder Cardinal. The team finished out pool play with an 8-3 win against Tennessee Bombers.

In the semifinals, BC Athletics had a rematch with Tennessee Bombers and won 4-1.

To close out the tournament, BC Athletics beat KnoxSox 13-1 to win the Fall State Title.

Announcement: 16U Tryouts Coming Soon

BC Athletics is excited to announce our 16U tryout for the 2017 spring/summer season.

We are looking to add 6-8 players to the roster. This team will be coached by Garrett Copeland who is the current assistant coach at Farragut High School and an assistant coach TBD. Tryout is set for September 25th from 2-4 pm at Farragut High School. If interested, please email Dave Obrien, Do@bcathleticsknox.com with the following information:

2) School

3) Primary/ secondary postion

4) Date of birth
